Satellite
May 30, 2010I would say that this is the best album P.O.D. has made yet.
Why? Well, first off, I fell in love with the band because of Alive, the first single off the Satellite album. I know only one other person who felt the same overwhelming joy as I did upon beholding the video for Alive for the first time. That person is my dear friend Bejay Villaflores. Hi Bej, wherever you are.
Sonny’s rockstar moves, the explosive sounds, the boys’ badass looks, the powerful vocals, Marcus’ floating and smooth riffs, and the lyrics suffused with love and faith! All seemed to unite to create a perfect balance between rock music and that feeling of profound awe and respect for all things Godly.
So ever since Alive, I’ve been following P.O.D., analyzed them and even have had a sort of idolatry for the band.
Maybe you wouldn’t feel that same intense feeling, but no matter, here’s the video for alive:
So now I ask you, have you ever felt that heartwarming feeling that seems to stem from the depths of your being upon watching a music video?
I also felt that powerful emotion from watching My Chemical Romance’s video for Helena. And since then, I came to love MCR. I already have a post here, actually, that talks about how I fell in love with MCR.
